Distance Learning Requests

UNT students who meet eligibility requirements may request delivery of items at no charge.  We mail physical items like books, and deliver items like articles electronically. Find out if you qualify.

Faculty Borrowing Privileges

Interlibrary Loan Borrowing and Document Delivery Services

Do you need a book, a chapter, article, or other item that UNT doesn't own or subscribe to?  Typically you can request it from another institution through ILL. Learn about eligibility, types of available materials, checking the status of an order, length of loans, and your responsibilities when using the service.

Lending to Other Libraries

The UNT Libraries loan books and articles from our general collection to other libraries as well as Texas County Records on microfilm for Cooke, Denton, Montague, and Wise counties.

Library Annex Reading Room

Graduate students or faculty members who need access to long runs of periodicals or to a large series of volumes at one time can use this remote space to view items.

Monthly Books

The UNT Libraries maintain various reading lists and book-displays, usually topic-oriented that rotate on a monthly basis.  These shelves can be found throughout the libraries, and this page will help you figure out what's new.

OCLC Reciprocal Borrowing Cards

Information for faculty at UNT and other institutions about gaining access to the collections of other OCLC member institutions. UNT accepts cards from, and issues cards to, qualified faculty.

Online Holds

We can deliver many regular circulating items to various UNT campus locations for you.  Find out who qualifies, delivery locations & timing, how to make requests, and limitations as some restrictions apply.
