Call for Proposals: Celebrating Communities of Practice in Digital Humanities | Digital Frontiers 2016

In celebration of its Fifth Anniversary, Digital Frontiers invites members of the digital humanities community to submit proposals sharing their passions as they engage in digital endeavors.  Proposals that discuss how digital researchers situate themselves within this community of practice will be especially welcomed.

Human Library

Join us for our 4th Annual Human Library!

The Human Library features “Human Books” – representatives of traditionally misunderstood or stigmatized groups – who are available for “check out” by Library visitors.

Human Books and Volunteers Wanted for the Human Library!

Be a part of a “Living Library!”

UNT Libraries are looking for “Human Books” to challenge stereotypes through respectful conversation with others, and volunteers to help coordinate our annual Human Library event.

Your book title will relate to your experience of discrimination, based on presumptions of the general public (i.e. Young Single Parent, Refugee, Sikh, ADHD, etc.). We want to visually tell the world “Don’t judge a book by its cover,” and help people better understand those they share their communities with.
