If the Journal Article is Not Available at the UNT Libraries, It May be Borrowed through Inter-Library Loan
If you clicked on the links "Find Full-Text" or "Check the Univ. of North Texas Library Catalog", and did not get a listing of journal holdings, but only a message about a "Standard Number,"
then the UNT Libraries do not have the journal article you need. Don't
despair however, you may still obtain a copy of the journal article by
ordering it through the UNT Libraries borrowing program known as Inter-Library Loan. Click on this Inter-Library Loan link to go to the Inter-Library Loan home page and begin the process of creating an account and requesting a journal article.
Create an Inter-Library Loan Account:
You will need to create an account before ordering journal articles. Click on the Inter-Library Loan link, then "Create an Illiad Account" on the left hand side.
Next, you will see some information about copyright issues and FAQ's. Keep scrolling down and click on the button that says "First Time Users Click Here".
Now you will see the account form you need to fill out for an ILL account.
It takes only a couple of minutes to create an account. Fill out the form, hit "submit" and then you will automatically see a screen that says "Request a Journal Article".
Click on the link, fill out the form, and hit submit.
Depending on the source for the journal article, it may be received
electronically within a couple of days, but might take up to 7-10
days. When the Inter-Library Loan journal article arrives, it will be either an electronic copy (available within your ILL account), or a photocopy that can be picked up at the Inter-Library Loan desk on the first
floor of the Willis Library.
