Sage Journals Online

Registration: Select the Journals Online button from the navigation bar at the top of the opening page. On the next screen, choose the Register link from the right panel. Enter your email address on the next page to access the registration form.

Citation Alerts: Receive alerts anytime a new article cites your article of interest. To set the alert, do a search and select the Abstract or PDF link for your article of interest. Then select Alert Me When This Article Is Cited link from the right panel of the next screen.

Journal (Content) Alerts: Receive a full table of contents or notification when new issues of your selected journals are posted to Sage Journals Online. Enter the Abstract or PDF file of an article, then select the Alert Me to New Issues of This Journal link from the right panel.

Saved Search Alerts: Receive alerts when new content matches your saved author and/or keyword searches. Once you are registered and signed in, you can set the alerts by selecting the CiteTrack Personal Alerts link beneath the top navigation bar. On the next screen at the bottom, select the Create a New Keyword/Author Alert link. Then you can choose all or a set of the journals to be scanned for your saved searches.                                                                                

Science Online

Registration: To access the registration process, select the My Account link from the blue bar at the top of the home page. On the My Account page, choose the Register for Free Partial Access link. You already have full access to Science Magazine through UNT, but need to register here for personalization features. On the next screen, you start the 4-step registration process. Or link directly to the first registration page if you are on campus.

CiteTrack Alerts: Receive alerts when your chosen article is cited in new content, or when new content matches your saved author/keyword searches. To establish the alerts, select the Alerts link from the blue bar, which is at the top of all the site's pages. On the Alerts page, look for the Research Alerts panel on the right and choose a link under CiteTrack Personal Research Alerts.

Collection Alerts: Receive alerts when new content matches your chosen topics. To establish the alerts, select the Alerts link from the blue bar, which is at the top of all the site's pages. On the Alerts page, look for the Research Alerts panel on the right and choose Collection Research Alerts.

Content Awareness Alerts: Receive full tables of contents or notifications when new issues of the 9 Science publications are posted. To establish the alerts, select the Alerts link from the blue bar, which is at the top of all the site's pages. On the Alerts page, look for the heading Content Awareness Alerts and select the services of your choice.

ScienceDirect (Elsevier Publishing)

Registration: Select the Register link at the top center of the home page, or link directly to the registration form if you are on campus.

Citation Alerts: Receive alerts on a weekly or monthly basis when articles of your choice are cited. You must first access the article record to establish the alert.

Issue/Volume Alerts: Receive alerts when new issues of journals or new volumes of book series are posted. You select the Elsevier publications of interest to you.

Search Alerts: Receive alerts on a daily, weekly or monthly basis when new material matches your saved searches. 

SIAM Journals Online

Registration: To register, locate the left panel on the home page and select the Join the Notify List link. Register on the next screen by submitting your email address.

Journal-Notify: Receive alerts whenever new articles are posted to the SIAM journals.

SpringerLink (Springer-Verlag Publishing, includes Kluwer Online journals as of Feb 2005)

Registration: Select the Register button at the bottom right of the home page. On the next page, select the Individual Register button towards the bottom of the screen. MetaPress Support will e-mail your username and password to you after you register.

Keyword Alerts: Receive automatic alerts when new articles match you saved keyword searches.

Table of Contents Alerts: Receive the table of contents for your choice of Springer-Verlag journals as they are published online. 

Synergy (Blackwell Publishing)

Registration: To sign up for My Synergy, select Register from the navigation buttons at the top of the home page, or link directly to the registration form if you are on campus.

Saved Search Alerts: Receive alerts on a daily, weekly or monthly basis when new articles match your saved searches.

e-mail Table of Contents Alerts: Receive the table of contents from your choice of Blackwell journals as they are posted online.
