About the Collections

The Rare Book & Texana Collections comprise some 20,000+ items divided into various collections based on content, format, size, or audience.

The collections include not just books, but also periodicals, maps, posters, prints, photographs, original artwork, artifacts, manuscripts, letters, clothing, microforms, electronic files, and videos.  Materials range from a 4,000 year old clay tablet to items produced less than a year ago.
