Edit
-We'll begin with the Title field at the top of the Portal to Texas History metadata template. We have entered the title exactly as it appears in the MARC catalog record: "Gray's atlas map of Texas." Since this is the official title of the resource, we specify it as the "Main Title" of the record. In this particular case there is no other type of title, but we need to check if there are any other titles that we could list for other resources (e.g., alternate titles, serial titles, etc.).
-Next, we must enter a Unique Identifier for this resource into the Identifier field. For this record, we've entered two identifiers, an OCLC number "11895789" and the local call number "G4030 1871.G72 1874". Note the Type of identifier: for the OCLC number we select "OCLC" and for the local call number, we select "Other".
-To complete the Institution, click on the drop down arrow, and choose your institution name, in this case "UNT".
-Next is Collection and we select "UNTRB". If your institution need a local collection name, you can request for a new collection name and we will add it as soon as possible.
The record, thus far, looks like this:
