Laptops checkout now available at Willis Library Reserves Desk

The Circulation department responds to user requests for more options with laptop check outs!

The Science and Technology Reserves Desk began laptop checkouts during the 2006-2007 academic year with an overwhelmingly positive reaction from our users. Currently, there are 10 laptops available in the Science and Technology Library with another 10 on order.  Another 10 laptops have recently been added to the Willis Library Reserves Desk. Users can check out a laptop for four hours with no renewals. The checkout includes the laptop, a power cord, a copy of the University of North Texas Libraries’ laptop policy and a laptop case. The Dell laptops have most major applications including Microsoft Office 2007, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Quick Time and Real Media. Users can utilize the wireless internet connection on campus both inside and outside in the Library Mall Area or simply plug in at one of the new electrical outlets added to the half wall now located on First and Second Floors of Willis Library.
