Abstracts and Indexes
Print databases that can help you find articles on your biology topic. They are shelved alphabetically in the Abstracts and Indexes room on the first floor of the Science and Technology Library, in the Information Sciences Building. Most abstracts and indexes are now available in electronic form.
Bibliographies
These are lists of research resources in the areas of biology and general science that can guide you to the best resources for your topic. The bibliographies are located in the Reference area on the first floor of the Science and Technology Library. They can be used in the library only.
Books
Books about the life sciences are shelved on the mezzanine of the Science and Technology Library, in the Information Sciences Building. Generally, these books can be checked out.
Dictionaries and Encyclopedias
These print resources are found in the Reference area on the first floor of the Science and Technology Library, in the Information Sciences Building. The dictionaries and encyclopedias can be used in the library only.

Writing Guides and Style Manuals
Guides for scientific writing and grant writing. They are located in the Reference area on the first floor or shelved on the mezzanine of the Science and Technology Library, in the Information Sciences Building. The books in the Reference area can be used in the library only.
