How to use the NAICS code search
This short sequence illustrates how to use NAICS code searching in Business & Company Resource Center, ABI, and Business Source Complete.
The following examples use the wineries NAICS code, 312130 for the search examples.
In Business & Company Resource Center, click the Industry button as shown below:
Enter the NAICS code, make sure the NAICS radio button is checked and click search.
Note that the results are industry overviews obtained from special purpose business encyclopedias. In addition, the tabs at the top which are circled and in bold black print also contain information about the NAICS code that was searched.
ABI/Inform can also be searched by NAICS code.
Click on the Advanced search tab at the top of the screen:
Type in the NAICS code in the search box and choose the NAICS code as the search argument from the drop down:
Business Source Complete can also be searched by NAICS code.
Click the Advanced Search tab:
In the search box type in the NAICS code and choose NAICS as the search argument from the drop down, then click search.
