Art Education: Journal Articles

*Search the UNT Libraries databases listed below for journal articles on art education topics and art educators.
*If accessing off campus, you will be asked for a username (EUID), and password (EagleMail password).

*If you did not find the full-text of the journal article in the databases, you will need to determine if the UNT Libraries subscribe to the journal so that you can possibly find more electronic full-text options or copy the paper journal article.  To do this, search the UNT Libraries Online Catalog. Choose "journal title" search option, and type the title of the journal in the search box.
*Journals not subscribed by the UNT Libraries may be available through UNT's Inter-Library Loan Department.

*To search for journal articles written by an educator, choose the author search and type in the order of last name, first.  Example: Korzenik, Diana.
*To search for journal articles about the educator, choose subject search and type: Korzenik, Diana.  
*Keyword search example: Art Education and History and "United States".

ERIC is the premier education database.  It also contains many conference proceedings.  All ERIC documents are given an ERIC accession number.  ED accession numbers can be found on microfiche in the Microforms Department on the Lower Level of the Willis Library.

Search the name of the educator (last name, first name).  This database will refer you to other reference books that contain an entry on the educator.

Design and Applied Arts Index
DAAI is a good database for fashion design and graphic arts education topics

This is a database of dissertations and some thesis.  Search this database before beginning your own dissertation to find out what has already been written. 

Search Grove for encyclopedia entries on art educators and art education topics.

Use this database to find descriptions and copies of various types of education and other tests.

For grants, internships and scholarships in the arts and education.  Once inside the database, click "paid subscribers enter here", "search" and then choose a discipline in the drop down menu.
