When You Can't Find an Item at the Library
REQUESTING ITEMS FROM REMOTE STORAGE OR ANOTHER UNT LIBRARY
When the book or article you need is located in Remote Storage or at another UNT Library, follow these steps to obtain the item:
1. If an item’s location is Remote Storage, click on the location link and go directly to the Library Materials Delivery Request Form. Complete the form and submit.
2. If an item is located at another UNT library, go to the Library Materials Delivery Request Form at https://www.library.unt.edu/forms//library-delivery-request .
3. Delivery from either location takes 24 hours during the week. There is no delivery on weekends.
REQUESTING ITEMS FROM INTERLIBRARY LOAN
When the book or article you want is not available at the UNT Libraries, then follow these steps to order the item from Interlibrary Loan:
1. Go to the Interlibrary Loan webpage at http://www.library.unt.edu/ill.
2. You must create an ILLiad account before entering a request. See the link in the left panel.
3. Once you create your account, you can immediately request articles, books or dissertations.
4. Article delivery is online and takes 7 to 10 days at most. Articles are delivered to your ILLiad account.
5. Book delivery takes 1 to 2 weeks.
