Introduction to the University of North Texas (UNT) Libraries Metadata Template Tutorial (in progress)

Welcome to the University of North Texas (UNT) Libraries Metadata Template Tutorial. This tutorial will help you understand the template and how to use it to create and/or update records for your digital resources.

The Metadata Template Tutorial is divided into short chapters designed to break up the task of learning the template.
In the first section, you will learn how to log on to the UNT Libraries metadata template and then familiarize yourself with the general structure and various functionalities of the metadata template. Then you will learn about each element and rules for entering values into each element. Finally, you will learn how to put everything together to facilitate resource description and of course, discovery and access.

Please note that this updated version is under continous development and refinement. For the previous version of the Metadata tutorial, please go to the Metadata Template Tutorial. If you have any comments or questions regarding the metadata tutorial, please contact Daniel Gelaw Alemneh at daniel.alemneh@unt.edu.
