Citizen's Guide to Transportation Decisionmaking
The Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Transit Administration developed this guide for citizens to help them understand federal requirements in the transportation decision-making process. The guide addresses such issues as how government officials decide where to put a bus stop, road, or bridge; how transportation projects are planned; and how opinions are heard and considered by planners, road designers, elected officials, and other citizens.

Information about automotive safety, recalls, regulations and standards, passenger safety, etc.  The Safecar.gov page is especially relevant to consumers.
New Horizons: Information for the Air Traveler with a Disability (U.S. Department of Transportation)
A guide designed to offer travelers with disabilities a brief but authoritative source of information about the Air Carrier Access rules: the accommodations, facilities, and services that are now required to be available.
