Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)
Federal agency responsible for the issuance, administration, and enforcement of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, the Hazardous Materials Regulations, and drug and alcohol testing requirements. Focuses on high risk areas through detailed data analyses and provides technical assistance and training to States and local governments, and public safety information to the driving public.
Intermodal Association of North America
Intermodal freight refers to systems that move cargo via more than one mode of transport. For example, a cargo container might be moved by sea, then by rail, then delivered to its final destination by truck.
Share the Road Safely (FMCSA)
A national highway safety campaign to improve the knowledge of all highway users to minimize the likelihood of a crash with a large truck, and reduce the consequences of those that do occur.
