Amtrak-
Formally designated as the National Railroad Passenger Corporation, Amtrak is concerned
with intercity passenger rail service in the United States. This site is mainly
oriented toward prospective passengers, but substantive, agency information can be found at the About Amtrak page. See also the archived Web site of the
Amtrak
Reform Council, an independent Federal oversight commission established under the
provisions of the Amtrak Reform and Accountability Act of 1997 (P.L. 105-134).

- High Speed Ground Transportation Association
- The HSGTA’s mission is to secure
a dedicated source of public funding to build, through public-private
partnerships, a network of high-speed trains that is an integral part of

trade association based in Washington, D.C., whose members are drawn
from a wide array of public and private business interests, including
