Thank you for using the SIC and NAICS Codes Subject Guide!
My name is Jeffrey Levy, Business Collection Librarian.

This guide helps you find your SIC and NAICS codes.
- SIC codes and NAICS codes classify industries for government census-taking purposes.
- Many online and hardcopy reference sources dealing with industry use these codes to classify and organize the industries. You can only find your industry's information if you know these codes.
- The Pull-Down Tabs have:
Articles (articles about industries).
Books (financial ratio books on Reserve).
Reference Sources (finding co's on the
database Reference USA). - PowerPoint slideshow on Looking up SIC & NAICS Codes. A web-savvy parrot shows how to find and use these codes to research the parrot healthcare clinic industry in DFW. Time required: 5 minutes. [works best in IE]
-
Articles on industries: Do a journal title search if you already know the title of your journal (sample journal title: Parrot World). Do the journal title search in one or both of these: Online Catalog | Serials Solutions electronic journals. This will tell you what database has your journal.
