Browsing the Catalog
Books on Library and Information Sciences are arranged according to the Library of Congress classification system. Each book is assigned a call number, and the beginning letters and numbers correspond to a specific subject. For example, books about cataloging can be found within the call numbers "Z693-695.83." The following list comprises the subject headings and their corresponding call numbers that will likely be relevant to you:

The majority of the books you will need are located at Discovery Park on the first floor. The reference collection and more recent periodicals are housed in B112, and the circulating books and bound periodicals can be found in M130.
You can also search the Library Catalog according to Subject. A quick search using terms associated with your inquiry will help you narrow down to a more precise subject heading. By clicking on that subject heading, you will be able to view all the materials that are cataloged under that subject.
Digital Libraries
Provides access to scholarly and cultural materials for the University of California Libraries and the communities they serve. Many of the resources are free for the public to use, including eScholarship Editions (e-books) and eScholarship Repository (collection of University of California scholarly works).
Children's International Digital Library
A full text library of over 600 titles in more than 35 languages. CIDL is a good resource for finding international award-winning and multicultural books. The library is a project of the University of Maryland.
A collection of 1.5 million and growing digitized books. The National Science Foundation funds the digitization being performed by Carnegie Mellon University and partners in China, Egypt, and India. Books are currently available in 12 languages and date from 1500 to 2007.
UNT has access to 50,479 eBooks through Amigos Library Services, Texas State Library, and by direct purchase. There are records in the online catalog for all the titles to which UNT has access. To search the entire collection you must edit your preferences in the "my account" section.
