County and Municipal Codes, Charters, and Ordinances

City and county codes of ordinance are generally available online from whichever company has been hired to codify and publish the ordinances. They are also usually available from the Web site of the individual city or county.

Links to local government codes of ordinance from around the United States, grouped by state. Includes codes from multiple publishers.
County Code and Ordinances (National Association of Counties)
Examples of county codes and ordinances collected from around the country and arranged by topic.

Online Library (Municipal Code Corporation)
Links to local government codes of ordinance from around the United States, grouped by state. Also includes a few regulations, city council minutes, and other municipal documents when available.
Online Library (American Legal Publishing)
Links to local government codes of ordinance published by American Legal Publishing. Codes are grouped by state.
Online Codes (Code Publishing Company)
Links to codes for municipalities in mostly the western states.
Online Code Books (Colorado Code Publishing Library)
Codes and charters for selected municipalities in Colorado.
Municipal Codes (The FIEN Group)
This electronic publisher produces a small number of codes, mostly for cities in Washington and California.

Codes Online (Franklin Legal Publishing, Inc.)
This services produces codes for selected cities in Texas.
E-Codes: Municipal Codes on the Internet (General Code Publishers Corp.)
City codes arranged by state. Includes 28 states and Canada.
Municipal Codes Web Library (LexisNexis)
City codes arranged by state. Includes codes published through LexisNexis Municipal Codes Publishing and Ordlink Services.
Codes Online (Sterling Codifiers, Inc.)
Municipal codes for cities in west and midwest, grouped by state.

California Local Codes and Charters (Institute of Government Studies Library - UC Berkeley)
The IGS Library maintains a large depository collection of local ordinance codes and charters issued by California cities and counties. Their list includes currently available codes and charters issued in loose-leaf format, with call numbers, and provides links to electronic editions when available.
Maine Town and City Ordinances (Garbrecht Law Library - University of Maine)
List of towns and cities in Maine, with links to codes when available.
Michigan Ordinances and Code (Michigan State University College of Law)
Links to city codes for municipalities in Michigan.
List of towns and cities in Maine, with links to codes when available.
County and Municipal Ordinances (Minnesota State Law Library)
Links to codes for counties and cities in Minnesota.
Nevada County and City Codes Online (Nevada Legislature)
Links to codes for counties and cities in Nevada.
Municipal Codes (Walter H. Drane Company)
Links to codes for cities in Ohio, but only if they are published by this company.

The UNT Libraries will be closed Saturday, May 26 through Monday, May 28 for the Memorial Day weekend. The Libraries will reopen during regular building hours on Tuesday, May 29.
