Finding Print Books
You can find print books on your geography topic by using the UNT Library Catalog. Important keywords for geography searches are: geography, geology, archaeology, GIS, geodatabases, demographic surveys, medical geography, urban geography, and human geography.
Please see the tutorial, How to Find Books, for further instructions.
Types of Books
1. Reference Books: If the location of a book is "Willis Reference" or "Eagle Commons Reference," that means the book is in a reference collection and cannot be checked out. It can be "referred" to while you are in the library.
However, depending on the popularity of the book, a librarian may give you permission to check out the book for a short time. Please go to the reference desk to ask for permission from a librarian.
2. Circulating Books: "Circulating books" are the ones that you can check out of the library. Look at the status of a book in the catalog. If it does not say, "For Library Use Only," then you can usually check it out.
Checkout Periods
Please visit our page of Circulation Policies to find out how long you can check out a book.
