Find Art Books and Artist's Exhibition Catalogs

Sources for Artist's Exhibition Catalogs and Books

The UNT Libraries collects extensively in post 1970's contemporary exhibition catalogs and books. Exhibition catalogs are usually the best sources for images of an artist's work and biographical information. 

 

To Find Artist's Exhibition Catalogs and Art Books in the UNT Libraries, search the UNT Online Catalog.  Choose the Keyword search.  Search the name of the artist and or the the word "exhibition".  Ex.: Smith, Kiki, or Smith, Kiki and Exhibition. 

How to Find and Borrow Exhibition Catalogs and Books from Other Universities

World Catalog

Use the World Catalog to find out about art exhibition catalogs and books not owned by UNT.  The World Catalog contains more than 35 million records describing items owned by libraries around the world.  Books and exhibition catalogs not owned by UNT may be requested to be borrowed by UNT students, faculty and staff through UNT's Inter-Library Loan.

The UNT Libraries subscribe to the most important national and international annual, biennal, and triennal art exhibition catalogs. Look in these catalogs to find out about cutting edge art and artists in the contemporary art world.  All art exhibition catalogs are located on the 3rd floor of the Willis Library.
