Search for your theme in the following Art Databases to find journal articles. If accessing from off-campus, you will asked for a user name (EUID), and password (EUID password).
JSTOR 1920-2005All journal articles in JSTOR are full-text. You may need to enter several keywords to cut down the relevant returns. Example: Magdelene, Mary AND "Touch me Not".

Grove Art On-line
Grove is an online art encyclopedia. It does not contain journal articles but is a good general database to search for some major iconographical themes. It is also in paper format: N31 .D5 1996 vols. 1-10 (located in Reference, 1st Floor Willis Library)
