Assignment 1: Autobiography

Write a one-page autobiography.  Write briefly about your background, where you are from, what your interests are, etc.  Include a summary of your major coursework, your current major emphasis, and any other classes you've taken that you think might relate to American music.  Which of these classes have you found most enjoyable?  If you are a performer, in what ensembles have you participated?  What are your expectations for this class?  Please include your e-mail address.

The paper should be typed or word-processed and single-spaced.
