Lake Dallas Middle School

Welcome to the Willis Library, Lake Dallas M.S. students!

The Excel students from Lake Dallas Middle School have been instructed to visit the Willis Library and find primary documents for two topics: Reconstruction after the Civil War or the Industrial Revolution in the United States.

Primary documents for a history project are basically any documents written during a period of history, in this case during the U.S. Reconstruction (approx. 1861 - 1877) or Industrial Revolution (approx. late 1700s - 1861). Examples of primary documents are: letters, diaries, journals, magazine or journal articles, newspaper articles, pamphlets, and tracts.

Visit the groupings of resources below to start your search for primary documents. Good luck!
