America:  History and Life     

 

Alternative Press Index - A keyword search using the phrase "Mexican American" will find 43 articles.  A subject search on "Mexican Americans" finds 100 articles.

Academic Search Complete  -  This is a good general database with over 4000 full text journals.

Historical Abstracts   

JSTOR  - You may find many articles through this resource, and you may find articles  through many other databases which will direct you to this database.  Material here will be at least 5 years old.

Digital Dissertations  To find theses and dissertations on topics in Mexican American History, type in Latin American in the first entry box.  Then click on the box to the right, which says Citation and Abstract, and highlight "Subject Terms/Code."  This will give you materials with the subject headings Latin American History and Latin American Literature.

To find only those written here at the University of North Texas, move down to the next line, and in the right hand entry box, click in the second box and highlight the line which says "School Name/Code."  A link will appear to the right, which says "Look Up Schools."  Click on that, and in the search box type in "University of North" and scroll down to choose University of North Texas.  Allow 6 weeks to receive the material.
