Where to Find Help

Find out how to contact librarians that can help you with your library research.

Finding Books on Your Topic

Search the UNT Library Catalog when you need to find books on your topic. Follow these easy steps.

Finding Articles in EBSCOHost Databases

The EBSCOHost database package includes numerous databases relevant to geography research: Academic Search Complete, Agricola, Environment Index, GreenFILE and more. Read here to find out how to set up a personalized account in EBSCOHost and how to find articles on your topic.

Finding Articles in Cambridge Scientific Abstracts

Cambridge Scientific Abstracts is a package of databases that includes several databases relevant to geography research: Computer and Information Systems Abstracts, Sociological Abstracts, Worldwide Political Science Abstracts and more. Read here to find out how to set up a personalized account with CSA and how to find articles on your subject.

E-Journal Packages

Journal packages are collections of electronic journals produced by one publisher. Most journal article databases at the UNT Libraries will link you to the journal packages, so you don't need to search them directly. They are most useful for following the issues of a particular journal, or locating an already identified article.

Other Electronic Resources for Geography

The UNT Libraries offer a number of other electronic resources useful for geography research. They include dictionaries and encyclopedias, e-books, and additional journal article databases.

Using RefWorks

The UNT Libraries offer free use of the bibliographic management software, RefWorks. Read here to find out how to set up your RefWorks account and start producing bibliographies with ease.

When You Can't Find an Item at the Library

Sometimes the book or article you need will be located in a different building on the UNT campus. Other times, you'll find that the UNT Libraries don't have the item you need at all. Read here to find out how to order materials from other UNT facilities and from Interlibrary Loan.
