FREN 5600: French Women Writers

The overview is organized around themes prevalent in women’s writing throughout the ages such as coming to writing, marriage, love, motherhood, and feminism. In addition, students will be exposed to entire novels and larger selections from works by four women writers representing the Middle Ages, the seventeenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries through individual case studies.

Finding Journal Articles

The UNT Libraries subscribe to a number of databases that index journals about French literature. These databases do not exclusively cover French; rather, they encompass a wide variety of topics in the humanities. Since you will need to search for scholarly articles for this class, it is important that you know which are the best databases to use.
