To Find Hardcopy Journals in the Willis Library

Go to UNT Library's Home Page  http://www.library.unt.edu

Click on UNT Library Catalog.

Click on Journal Titles.

Type in the name of your journal and click on "search."

UNT Online Catalog screens:

  • If the UNT Library has the journal, you will get to a screen that tells you where to find that journal.

  • In general, this screen provides a Currently Received section at the top of the screen listing the current issues. The older, bound issues are listed at the bottom of the screen.

To find hard copy journals in the Library:

  • Willis Library: the current issues are arranged in alphabetical order in the Current Periodicals/Reserves room.  The older, bound copies are arranged in alphabetical order in the Lower Level of Willis Library.

  • Microfilm copies:  these are more complicated.  Please ask the librarian for assistance.

To find electronic journals via the UNT Catalog:

  • Some (not all) journals are now being offered in an electronic version.  The UNT Catalog will then have a link, Electronic Resource or Online. This link will take you to an online journal (Proquest's Periodical Abstracts is one example).  Just follow the directions or feel free to ask the librarian for assistance.
