How to search an electronic article database
Beginning a search:
To choose date range: the default is "All dates." The pull down menu gives you the option of restricting your search to the current time period if you wish.
To search: where the search box specifies "Enter a word, words, or specific phrase," type your search statement. There is no standard way to perform a search.
Your Search Results:
Your search results consist of titles of articles, including abstracts (summaries). In many cases you will have the full text (the entire article online). The most current article is listed first. Not all are full text. Most articles give you the option of clicking on an article summary or on the full text (in plain text format). Some of the articles also allow you to click on a page image (a scanned page available via Adobe Acrobat).
Outputting Your Search Results:
To output results: you have the option of printing, downloading, or emailing the results to yourself (or to a team member). Just click on the appropriate buttons.
