Academic Search Complete 1975-present (full-text articles back to 1990)

Historical Abstracts 1954-present

JSTOR (all full-text)
Since JSTOR is so comprehensive, that you may need to enter many keywords in your search to find the most relevant journal articles on your subject.  Of course you will want to search the name of your saint, but other searches may need to contain more keywords.  Example: D'Arc, Joan AND Martrydom AND "Charles VII"

EEBO is a database of full-text .pdf files of original manuscripts and books published in England during the Medieval and Renaissance periods. Subjects of the collection of original source works includes: fine arts, literature, history, philosophy, theology, music, education, science and math.
*Search names in this database differently than the other databases. Search first name, last name. For example: Bernard, Clairvaux, for St. Bernard of Clairvaux
