Grove Art Online also in paper format N31 .D5 1996 vols. 1-10
This database does provides encyclopedic entries instead of journal articles.

Early English Books Online
EEBO is a database of full-text .pdf files of original manuscripts and books published in England during the Medieval and Renaissance periods. Subjects of the collection of original source works includes: fine arts, literature, history, philosophy, theology, music, education, science and math.
*Search names in this database differently than the other databases. Search first name, last name. For example: Bernard, Clairvaux, for St. Bernard of Clairvaux

*If you don't find the full-text of the journal article in the databases, you will need to find out if UNT subscibes to the journal and where it is located.  To do this, search the UNT Online Catalog. Choose "Journal Title" search, and type the title of the journal in the search box.
