UNT Scholarly Works is a special collection of items contributed by the UNT Community and hosted in the UNT Digital Library. This collection brings together articles, papers, artwork, research data, presentations, and other scholarly and creative works and makes them readily accessible to researchers on campus and around the world.
Benefits
When you contribute your materials to UNT Scholarly Works, you get:
- long-term sustainable storage, preservation, and access
- a permanent web address for each item
- full-text indexing and searching of text
- effective search and navigation tools
- assistance with determining copyright, embargo dates, or other licensing or access information
Who Can Submit
- UNT faculty and staff are invited to submit their work.
- UNT students are welcome to submit items that represent professional work including:
- Work associated with thesis or dissertation projects
- Published works
- Presentation materials from conferences
How it Works
You submit your items along with some basic information that will help us describe them. We reformat the files to make them more web-friendly for viewing in our system. (We also retain the original formats and make them available to users.) Then, for each item, we create a metadata record so that users searching the UNT Digital Library will be able to find the item and have a sense of what it is. Finally, we upload the files and metadata records into the UNT Digital Library system where they are available for discovery.
