Wood Engraving: An Art Lost and Found
From June 1 to September 30, 1997, the Rare Book Room in the Willis Library of the UNT Denton Campus held an exhibition of wood engravings by contemporary artist Kent Kessenger and historic woodcuts from the Rare Book & Texana Collections.
The exhibit included works from the 18th to the late 20th century, and showcased the unique place that wood engravings hold in the history of illustration.
