Pop-Up and Movable Books: A Tour Through Their History

From November 1997 to February 1998, the Rare Book Room in the Willis Library of the UNT Denton Campus held an exhibition of pop-up and movable books drawn from the holdings of the Rare Book & Texana Collections.

In addition to the online exhibition, this secondary online site was created to further illustrate the history of pop-up, toy and movable books.  This site concentrates on items published after 1850, and includes works by Dean & Sons, S. Louis Giraud, Voitech Kubasta, Lothar Meggendorfer, Ernest Nister, Julian Wehr, and others.
