Implementation Plan
I was the only person working on this book; the only exceptions were minor cases of explanation by either Mary or her assistant, who has some experience in this kind of preservation. The Assistant to the Curator executed half of the digitization. The Rare Book Room staff provided all equipment, resources, and funds necessary to complete the preservation aspect of this project.
I completely took apart the book, washed it, mended it, sewed it back together, applied end sheets, and rebound the leather spine, including headbands. I described the stages of action and tools used to complete this preservation, and included photographs, when necessary and applicable, so as to complement the written descriptions.
