Pat Warde Memorial Collection of Southern
Letters
Instituted as an ongoing tribute to the memory of a true
lady, who embodied all of the greatest qualities of the South, this collection
of literature includes works by southern authors in first and rare editions, as
well as biographical and critical sources. A finding aid is available online

Fine Printing
Included are a great many beautiful examples from the presses and studios of Carl Hertzog, W. Thomas Taylor, William Wittliff, the Holman family (William, Barbara, David, and Gregory), as well as the publications of the Kairos Press, Somesuch Press, and the Book Club of Texas.
Maps
An important collection of Texas maps, 1597-1900, depicting the development
of the republic and the state. Includes marine charts, travel guides, boundary

History
General History:
A large collection of primary and
secondary sources, with special emphasis on the republic and early statehood
periods. Also included are immigrant and travel narratives, commemorative and
dance-hall music, prints, and broadsides.
Local History:
A major research collection comprising
county histories, personal narratives, ranching histories, and genealogical
materials. A finding aid to Texas County and City Histories is available online

Documents:
Autographs, letters, and other documents
relating to the four presidents of the republic as well as other famous Texas
leaders. Public documents include the rare 1824, 1836, 1845, and 1861
constitutions, laws, military reports, and annexation speeches.
Anson Jones
This collection comprises much of the private library of Anson Jones, his wife, and his sons. Many of the volumes are signed, several with annotations.
Periodicals
Among the holdings of the Texana Collections are a variety of single issues and runs of various periodicals published in Texas or relating to Texas. Dates range from the 1860's to the present, and include a number of titles related to local history. Recent donations include issues of signed comic books by Texas/Denton artists, authors, and illustrators.

Some items are only listed in the Card Catalog and some are as yet uncataloged. For items listed in either catalog, it is possible to search by title, author, or subject.
