About Us

A wide range of student and faculty-centered services are the cornerstone of the Libraries’ integral role in the UNT community.

As the most-used service on campus and an essential component of education and research at UNT, the Libraries offer access to more than 6 million items (print and digital) along with expert personnel to assist patrons in achieving their academic and scholarly goals.

Spaces

We provide innovative programs and support to enhance the relationship between teaching and learning at the University of North Texas.

  • Willis Library, located on the Library Mall—the heart of the Denton campus—houses collections that support disciplines within the Arts and Sciences. Here you can also find the The Media Library, Music Library and Special Collections (the Rare Book and Texana Collections and the University Archives).
  • The Sycamore Library is home to the government documents, law, political science, geography and business collections. It also houses the Collaboration and Learning Commons, which has been designed for group study offering students, faculty and staff interactive whiteboards, movable furniture, and two study rooms for up to 16 people with projection and video recording capabilities.
  • The Discovery Park Library supports the College of Engineering and the College of Information, Library Science, and Technologies. It covers multiple areas of engineering, library and information science, and learning technology.
  • The Library Annex contains remote storage, the Technical Services Department and the Preservation Unit. Items in storage are included in the library online catalog and may be requested for research.
