The Richard Dufallo Collection
Welcome to the Richard Dufallo Collection at the University of North Texas Music Library. Dufallo, a champion of modern music, conducted interviews with a number of twentieth-century composers for his book Trackings: Composers Speak With Richard Dufallo. The core of the collection consists of the original interview cassette tapes on which Richard Dufallo captured his interactions with the composers. These tapes were donated to the Music Library by Dufallo's widow, Pamela Mia Paul, and transferred to compact disc in the fall of 2003.
The "Index to Interviews" link will take you to detailed lists of both the original cassette tapes and the CD transfers.
The cassettes in the Richard Dufallo Collection were originally transferred to compact disc in the fall of 2003 by Daniel Baca, thanks to a grant from Pamela Mia Paul. The inventories, websites, and commentaries were completed by Mr. Baca in the summer of 2004 in partial fulfillment for his master's degree in library science at Texas Women's University.
This index was compiled by Nicholas Kanozik. Access to the collection is provided only by special arrangement with Morris Martin, Head Music Librarian.
