George Bragg (1926-2007), founder of the Texas Boys Choir, donated his music library to his alma mater, the University of North Texas. This library is a great resource to music students and to students of boy choirs around the world, since the archive already includes materials from several choirs other than the Texas Boys Choir.
A large room on the fourth floor of the Willis Library has been renovated for Mr. Bragg's library. The University of North Texas Music Library is currently seeking donations and grants to preserve and catalog his library.
If you would like to make a donation to the continued preservation of Mr. Bragg's library, you may download the fund-raising brochure, fill in the form, and send it with a check to:
Morris Martin
P.O. Box 305190
University of North Texas
Denton, TX 76203-5190
Be sure to indicate on your check that your donation is for the "George Bragg Music Library."
Plans for the future of the collection include providing online lists of materials by category, digitizing visual and audio materials, and serving as a permanent research center for information about Mr. Bragg and his work, as well as the continuing work of his students.
