How to Access Electronic Databases for Music

The UNT Libraries subscribe to many databases to help you with your research and class work; several of them are music-specific.  These resources are web-based, but they are not free websites that you can access just by looking them up on search engines.  In order to access them, you must click on special URLs that restrict access to the UNT community.

The best way to access them is by using our Electronic Resources page.

If you know exactly what you need, just enter its title in the search box, set the pull-down menu to Title, and click the search box.

If you do not know what resources we have for music, there are several ways to do a subject search.  One is to use the search box and just put the word music in it; you actually get better results leaving the pull-down set at Keyword than by setting it to Subject.

Another way is to use the browse menu and select Arts and Music.  This results in a list of resources.
