Audio Center
The Audio Center has a collection of over 85,000 CDs, 350 DVDs, and access to over 75,000 cataloged LPs that are available for check-out and in-house listening. We have an infrared switching matrix that routes audio-visual sources directly into 60 individual media carrels for individual or multi-user access, which gives patrons access to audio reserves and non-circulating recordings.
Remote Storage
In addition to the cataloged LPs, the Library Annex also houses 150,000 uncataloged LPs (organized by label), 10,000 78s, miscellaneous other types of sound recordings, and vintage equipment to facilitate playback. Requests to access these materials can be made via the Library Materials Delivery Request form (for items in the online catalog) or by contacting Andrew Justice.
Preservation Studio
The music library maintains a studio for in-house preservation projects such as digital transfers of performances from College of Music tape reels, deteriorating materials from special collections, and items of note to include on the website.
