Zachary Taylor
Abstract: Papers of Zachary Taylor (1784-1850), 12th U.S. President. Nicknamed "Old Rough and Ready," he was elected to one term of office (1849-1850), but died in office from cholera morbus contracted from eating a bowl of cherries and drinking a pitcher of iced milk.
