Abstract: This collection includes papers of Ulysses S. Grant (1822-1885), the 18th U.S. President.  He was elected to two terms;   the completion of the Trans Continental Railroad (1869) and the ratification of the Fifteenth Ammendment took place during his term of office (1869-1877.)
