Nineteenth-Century American Music Periodicals
Music periodicals from the 19th century present a rich source for the study of the American cultural scene during a particularly lively era.   This collection offers many of these valuable publications on microfilm.  The periodicals' contents provide a wide variety of historical data:  performances and events in music, art, and literature; reviews of concerts; music trade, politics, and money matters; musicology and scholarships; photographs and advertisements; and more.   In many cases, this microfilm edition is the most complete run available to researchers today.  This collection is housed alphabetically by journal title in a separate cabinet in our microfilm collection.
