Doctoral Dissertations

Abstract:  Dissertations written by students at the University of North Texas for a doctoral degree in their field of study.

Holdings:  Retrospective conversion is complete and a record of every dissertation (the first was issued in 1953) is now listed in the online catalog, retrievable by author, title or department.

Prior to 1975, dissertations are in hardcopy format.  In 1975, dissertations became available on microfilm (call number: Film F), and from approximately 1980, they became available in microfiche format only (call number: MicF 161.)  After December 1999, they also became available electronically in full-text PDF format.  Selected dissertations prior to 1999 may be available electronically.
