LibQUAL+(TM) Library Service Quality Survey

About LibQUAL+TM                                                            LibQUAL logo

LibQUAL+TM is a web-based survey developed by the Association of Research Libraries in partnership with Texas A & M University.  Based on the SERVQUAL model, the purpose of the LibQUAL+TM survey is to provide libraries with an objective tool to measure library service quality based on the perceptions of students, faculty, and staff.  Survey results provide a library with insight into its strengths as well as areas in need of improvement.

UNT Libraries first participated in the LibQUAL+TM survey in the spring of 2005 and has since participated in the survey in 2007 and 2009.  In 2008 UNT Libraries participated in pilot of the LibQUAL+TM Lite survey.  Results of the 2005 survey were used as input when developing the UNT Libraries Strategic Plan 2007 - 2011.  Results of subsequent surveys have been used to assess the Libraries' performance in meeting its strategic goals and to update the strategic plan.  UNT Libraries plans to continue participation in the LibQUAL+TM survey in the spring of odd numbered years to ensure that ongoing assessment information is available.
