LibQUAL+® Library Service Quality Survey

About LibQUAL+®                                                            LibQUAL logo

LibQUAL+® is a web-based survey developed by the Association of Research Libraries in partnership with Texas A & M University.  Based on the SERVQUAL model, the purpose of the LibQUAL+® survey is to provide libraries with an objective tool to measure library service quality based on the perceptions of students, faculty, and staff.  Survey results provide a library with insight into its strengths as well as areas in need of improvement.

UNT Libraries first participated in the LibQUAL+® survey in the spring of 2005 and has since participated in the survey in 2007, 2009, and 2011.  In 2008 UNT Libraries participated in the pilot of the LibQUAL+® Lite survey.  Results of the  survey are used as input to strategic planning and to identify areas of library service that need improvement.  UNT Libraries plans to continue participation in the LibQUAL+® survey in the spring of odd numbered years to ensure that ongoing assessment information is available.
