The pedestrians and bicycles group works to reduce pedestrian-motor vehicle accidents by (1) initiating and expanding community-based pedestrian safety programs, (2) advocating implementation of multidisciplined pedestrian/bicycle safety countermeasures, and (3) increasing public awareness of pedestrian/bicycle issues through marketing strategies.
