Concrete Durability (SHRP)
Step Up and Test Your Strength
Please do not send comments. The UNT Libraries archived this site as part of the CyberCemetery in November 1999.
If you experience any technical problems using this site, please let us know.

Because the durability of concrete structures and pavements is a key issue in rebuilding infrastructure, this project showcases SHRP-developed products and provides education and technical assistance to State DOTs and the industry.

This implementation effort includes new test procedures for assessing the D-cracking potential of aggregates, a revised test procedure for freeze-thaw durability, as well as an expert system for rehabilitation strategy.

To support this effort, informative workshops and training are available upon request. Testing equipment is also available to interested State DOTs through an equipment loan program. Five impact echo devices, five in situ surface air flow permeameters and five hydraulic fracture are available through an equipment loan program. The products are being promoted through workshops, equipment loans, and technical assistance. Consultant services are available to showcase products, manage the equipment loan program, and provide technical assistance. Some of these products are also demonstrated in the FHWA mobile concrete laboratory.

Workshops, equipment loans, and technical assistance through consultant services. A manual has also been developed for the workshops.
