AFRISTAT: Observatoire Economique et Statistique d'Afrique Subsaharienne (Harvard University)
This international agency promotes the development of statistical research in its 18 member states. Site is in French, but a few key documents are available in English.

Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) (Columbia University)
CIESIN was established in 1989 as a non-profit, non-governmental organization to provide information that would help scientists, decision makers, and the public better understand their changing world. CIESIN specializes in global and regional network development, science data management, decision support, and training, education, and technical consultation services.
Data and Program Library Service (DPLS) (U of Wisconsin - Madison)
DPLS was founded in 1966 to provide access to machine-readable data files to the social science community of the U of Wisconsin - Madison campus and to disseminate locally-generated files to scholars at other institutions.
Eurostat (Europa)
Eurostat, the official statistical office of the European Communities, collects data from the national statistical institutes of each of the 15 member states of the European Union, then consolidates and harmonizes the data to take into account each country's specific characteristics, so that they can be used either globally or comparatively.
Food and Agriculture Organization (United Nations)
The FAO was founded in October 1945 with a mandate to raise levels of nutrition and standards of living, to improve agricultural productivity, and to better the condition of rural populations. The Organization offers direct development assistance, collects, analyses and disseminates information, provides policy and planning advice to governments and acts as an international forum for debate on food and agriculture issues.
Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR)
ICPSR, located within the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan, is a membership-based, not-for-profit organization serving member colleges and universities in the United States and abroad. ICPSR provides access to the world's largest archive of computerized social science data, training facilities for the study of quantitative social analysis techniques, and resources for social scientists using advanced computer technologies.
International Labor Organization (ILO) (United Nations)
The ILO is the UN specialized agency promotes social justice and internationally recognized human and labor rights. It was founded in 1919 and is the only surviving major creation of the Treaty of Versailles, which brought the League of Nations into being, and it became the first specialized agency of the UN in 1946.
International Programs Center (IPC) (U.S. Bureau of the Census)
The IPC, part of the Population Division of the U.S. Bureau of the Census, conducts demographic and socioeconomic studies and strengthens statistical development around the world through technical assistance, training, and software products. Its work is commissioned and funded by federal agencies, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, private businesses, and other governments.
National Science Foundation (NSF)
NSF is an independent U.S. agency established by Congress in 1950 to promote the progress of science and engineering.
Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD)
The OECD, based in Paris, France, is a unique forum permitting governments of the industrialised democracies to study and formulate the best policies possible in all economic and social spheres.
Population Reference Bureau (PRB)
This private agency provides analytical reports and customized statistics on the many countries.
UN Economic Commission for Europe (UN/ECE)
UN/ECE was set up in 1947 by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to develop economic activity and strengthen economic relations among European countries and between them and other countries of the world. By publishing extensive economic analysis and statistics, UN/ECE encourages the exchange of views and the sharing of experience leading to greater mutual understanding and contributing to policy convergence.

United Nations Population Information Network
This decentralized community of population institutions strives to make international, regional and national population information, particularly information available from United Nations sources, easily available to the international community.
United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD)
The United Nations Statistics Division provides a wide range of statistical outputs and services for producers and users of statistics worldwide. By increasing the global availability and use of official statistics, this work facilitates national and international policy formulation, implementation and 
monitoring.
World Bank Group
The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, commonly referred to as the World Bank, is the world's largest source of development assistance, providing nearly $16 billion in loans annually to its client countries. The World Bank Evelopmental Data Group provides high quality national and international Data and Statistics, mostly compiled from the statistical systems of member countries.
