This site, created by the Center for Consumer Freedom, is committed to providing detailed and up-to-date information about the funding source of radical anti-consumer organizations and activists.
Political Advocacy Groups: A Directory of United States Lobbyists
Information on organizations that personally contact, pressure, and/or "educate" representatives; conduct and disseminate policy-oriented research; organize grassroots citizen activism; and provide financial resources to Congressional candidates. Organizations can be browsed by name or subject.
Youth-Led Social Activism (The FreeChild Project)
Directory of youth activist organizations, with links to other online resources for youth activists.

Institutions Promoting Political Activism

American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
Organization that works to protect First Amendment rights, equal protection under the law, the right to due process, and the right to privacy. The Activist Toolkit provides such advice as how to contact and influence elected officials, how to write an op/ed piece for the newspaper, and how to give an effective interview on the radio.
Civic Practices Network
Collaborative and nonpartisan project bringing together a diverse array of organizations and perspectives within the new citizenship movement. Provides tools for community problem-solving (success stories, case studies and essays); searchable by topic, keyword and geographic area.
Institute for the Study of Civic Values (Edward Schwartz)
Links to historic documents, resources for teaching civics, links to sites related to government, politics, interest groups and public issues.
Internet NonProfit Center
Information about more activist groups than any other site in the world, including a library of all-purpose information for non-profits.
League of Women Voters
The League, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in elections and government. Voter Information explains voter registration and includes educational materials.
